Harvest Moon 64 Farm

Your farm in Harvest Moon 64 is fairly small, and consists of several different buildings, a crop field, and a small pond. Keep in mind that time stops in Harvest Moon 64 when you enter buildings.

  • House - The farm house is where you start and end your day. There's quite a bit of stuff to do in the house. You have a TV with four channels (press the corresponding C button to change the channel), a notebook with tips from Grandpa, your bed, and a toolbox. There's also a whole lot of stuff you can get for your house from various places, like the Tool and Craft Shops, various festivals, and additions from the Carpenter.

  • Log Terrace - This costs 7000G and 350 wood. You can eat out here.

  • Horse Stable - The stable is located next to the barn behind your house. Your horse never actually enters it, and you can get it upgraded from the horse race.

  • Barn - The barn houses your cows and sheep. Get fodder for them from the silo by pressing A next to the metal spout in the back of the barn. During storms, the Harvest Sprites will come feed your animals through the hole in the back of the barn if you're friends with them.

  • Silo - This is where all your fodder for your animals is stored. You collect fodder here by growing grass and cutting it with the sickle (it automatically goes here). Be sure you have enough fodder to feed all your animals in the winter.

  • Chicken Coop - Your chickens stay here. Feed them with chicken feed.

  • Wood Shed - Whenever you chop up a stump, the wood goes here. Store up wood so you can build fences and home additions.

  • Pond - Fill up your watering can in this little pond.

  • Field - Clear off the field and hoe the ground, then plant crops.

  • Greenhouse - Buy this for 30000G and 580 wood. It's worth the money because time stops when you go inside and it can hold a lot of crops. It even has a little water hole and a shipping bin.
