There are numerous events each season in Mineral Town. Check the "Right" channel on your TV, as well as your calendar, to find out when events are coming up. The bulletin board in Rose Square also has information about upcoming festivals. You should attend every festival in order to raise your standing with the villagers. Many festivals are contests in which you are rewarded a prize for winning. Some festivals, like the horse race and cooking festival, you can only do after your first year. Most events last until 6 PM, so get a lot of work done before you go - but don't be late! Stores will be closed on festival days and you won't receive payment for anything you ship until the next day. You can still visit the Harvest Sprites in their hut on festival days, however.
