In this first edition of Gameboy Harvest Moon games, you can't walk around the town as you do around your farm. You "jump" from building to building. This isn't very realistic, but it gets the job done. All stores, except for the Juice Bar, are open from 8 AM to 6 PM.

1. Florist - The florist, Nina, will sell you seeds and give you the watering can.
2. Juice Bar - Eve works here. You can go here after 6 PM to get a quick energy boost. It also has some drinks available to take home.
3. Carpenter Shop - The local carpenter can upgrade your house for you two times over. He also sells lumber for building fences or using for the house upgrades.
4. Church - Go here to pray with Maria or get your fortune told (Kind of ironic to get your fortune told in a church now isn't it? Well, maybe it's a Unitarian church...j/k). Praying here insures a properous year, because, rumor has it, that praying every day can result in a reward from the Harvest Goddess.
5. Tool Shop - Ann runs this shop and will sell you anything you need to work your farm. She can also find ways to upgrade your initial starting tools (hoe, ax, etc.).
6. Restaurant - This place sells, you guessed it, food. Eating improves your stamina.
7. Animal Shop - Oh, guess what they sell here? That's right. This is where you go for cows, chickens, and anything you need to tend to them. You can also sell animals you don't want to him.
