Harvest Moon 2 Farm

HM2 Farm

Your farm is quite large and consists of several buildings. They're outlined here.

1. Home - Your house is where you go to sleep and wake up in the morning. It can be upgraded two times over. Inside, in the lower-right corner is where you keep your food, the lower-left is the tool shed, the upper-right is your TV, the top-left is your bed. No matter how many times you upgrade your house, this basic configuration is maintained. When you first start the game, go to the calendar for an extra 1000G.

2. Cow Barn - Your cows stay here, of course. You can keep up to four cows at any one time. Use the bell in the pasture (3) to send your cows outside.

3. Pastures - Plant lots of grass here. You'll need it to get animals. Use the appropriate tool in the appropriate field (cow bell, chicken whistle, or sheep horn) to send your animals outside, but bring them in on days with bad weather.

4. Chicken Coop - Here are all your chickens. Once again, send them outside on good days, but bring them in at night unless you have the dog as a pet.

5. Sheep Pen - This houses your sheep, but it must be built for 70000G and 800 wood from Ken.

6. Hothouse - You can grow flowers and herbs in here all year round. Don't forget that the flower section is on the left and the herb section is on the right. Herbs will last forever after reaching their fully-grown state, but flowers must be harvested within a week or so or they'll wilt and die. This has to be built by Ken for 50000G and 600 wood.

7. Crop Fields - Grow all your crops here. Get Ken to build you the bridge to the lower half for 10000G and 200 wood. Plant grass down there, since it's so far from the shipping bin. You can fish in the river.

8. The Fountain - This is the rest of the river and your stock pond. If you want to save fish, throw them in the pond (at the top). Then, with nothing equipped, press A by the pond. You'll see an inventory of all your fish and you can take them to sell. The sign near the pond tells how many fish you have. You can fish in the river.
