Harvest Moon: STH Farm
Since Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland focuses more on your interaction with other villagers, your farm is not very large (especially the crop field). Your pasture makes up the majority of your farm, and you have a beautiful view of the sea from your cliffs.
Farmhouse - Your home is where you sleep, and, eventually, make meals. The television will show you the forecast, and your calendar helps you remember important days. Once you get the kitchen (and bathroom) addition, you can make different foods using various ingredients. Take a bath before going to bed to ensure a full day's work the next day.
Well - Use the well to fill up your watering can.
Chicken Coop - Your chickens stay here on days with bad weather, otherwise you should take them out and let them peck around for food.
Cow Barn/Stable - Your horse and any cows you buy/raise will stay in here. Be sure to take them into the pasture on clear days. Place fodder from the spout into the bins each day so your animals will remain happy.
Harvest Sprite Cave - The Harvest Sprites stay here at night and during bad weather. Pay them a visit every now and then to keep them on your good side, and they'll help you out.
Fields - There are set rows where you can plant seeds. Your space is limited, so choose which crops you're going to grow with foresight. Each bag of seeds you have will take up one square on the rows.
Pasture - Your cows and horse will stay in the pasture on clear days. They'll eat the grass, as long as it's high enough, so you won't have to feed them. You can cut the high, dark grass once it's fully-grown for extra fodder.
