Harvest Moon: STH Tools
Most tools you need to buy will be found at Louis's Tool Shop, for a high price.
Hoe - You start with the hoe. It's used to till the soil in your fields in order to plant seeds.
Sickle - You start with the sickle. Use it to cut the grass in your pasture. Three pieces of grass equal one piece of fodder.
Super Sickle - You have to buy this from Louis for 4500 G. It's available at the start of the game, and cuts three times as much as the regular sickle.
Watering Can - You start with the watering can. Use it to water your crops. After filling it up, you have 99 uses before needing to refill it.
Fishing Rod - Joe will give you his old fishing rod after you become friends with him. You use the fishing rod to catch fish, but it isn't very effective.
Super Fishing Rod - This becomes available after you've befriended Joe and already received the old fishing rod. After another cut-scene, you'll be able to buy this from Louis for 4500 G.
Milker - Available from the beginning of the game at the Tool Shop, the Milker costs 1800 G and is the only way to make a profit from cows.
Brush - Louis always has this available for 300 G. It's needed to keep your cows and horse happy.
A.P. Medicine - Louis has this available for 1000 G. It relieves fatigue to allow you to work longer.
Chicken Feed - Bob sells this at the Farmer's Shop for 10 G apiece. You can only have 99 max, so don't try to go over. You have to use chicken feed to feed your chickens if you aren't going to leave them outside all the time.
C.M. Potion - Bob also sells this for 2000 G. It's used to impregnate cows.
Animal Medicine - Sold for 500 G from Bob at the Farmer's Shop, the animal medicine heals sick animals.
