I’m calling it now: the most valuable resource is not going to end up being fossil fuel or fish or even children. It will instead be land. With the massive growth of the human population, people are going to end up being all over the place, and it will be those with the land that have the power and wealth. Land has gotten progressively more expensive over the years, and it will continue to do so until it is completely unreasonably overpriced.
As soon as I get money, I’m going to buy as much land as I can and just have it fenced off to make sure people know that I’m planning for the future. And then when they need my land to build processing facilities and industrial housing, I’ll either laugh at them for not planning ahead or sell it to them for a massive profit.
