buy now, sell later

pasture.jpgI’m calling it now: the most valuable resource is not going to end up being fossil fuel or fish or even children. It will instead be land. With the massive growth of the human population, people are going to end up being all over the place, and it will be those with the land that have the power and wealth. Land has gotten progressively more expensive over the years, and it will continue to do so until it is completely unreasonably overpriced.

As soon as I get money, I’m going to buy as much land as I can and just have it fenced off to make sure people know that I’m planning for the future. And then when they need my land to build processing facilities and industrial housing, I’ll either laugh at them for not planning ahead or sell it to them for a massive profit.

  1. Clearly it’s already happened to an extent (didn’t I mention that?) – I’m saying it’s getting worse and people don’t fully appreciate the gravity. You, sir, aren’t making any friends here.

  2. His name is Dirk, he’s from New York, and he uses Hotmail. That’s all I know.

    P.S. You suck.

    To Walter: nice one. 🙂

  3. the way i see it: if the land situation ever becomes that serious, i’m going to become a squatter.

  4. Oh, I’ll also shoot anyone on my land.

I’d like to point out that the word “lame” is now banned from my site. If anyone uses it, his or her entire message will be changed to “I hate myself for sucking so much.”
