drink some water and stfu

The site just hit 2000 comments (2005, to be exact). For anyone wondering, I’m only 32.2% of the comments. :) Not too shabby. Celebration time!

http://rocking-stockings.tripod.com/As for my disgust today, it’s one that’s long overdue. The recent heatwave in America, particularly the northeast, drew way too much shock and complaining from everyone. Those pansy New Yorkers were not just bitching, but even dying because it reached 100 degrees. Ouch, how did so many survive? I mean, it was only 112 here. And let’s not forget that it’s been consistently over 90 degrees for the past several months. But Yankees are used to strutting around in designer furs and letting something as weak as the sun kill them.

You don’t see me complaining about the cold, do you? No…because I know that the Eskimos have it far worse. I’ll deal.

  1. Not mentioning the fucking humidity here. 100 degrees is a lot more comfortable when you arent in 80% humidity.

  2. Yeah yeah. Northerners. They’re so weak. The World Cup was grueling for the English because it was 85 degrees. Cry me a river. The Ecuadorian team trained in much hotter temperatures on a frickin’ mountaintop with no oxygen. Take that, Europe and New York.

  3. well, i think its the facet that we are used to it. if its like 40 outside we bitch and moan, but people from alaska are waering t-shirts and shorts.

  4. Ha…facet.

granted, i see that its *bossier* people…
but its apparently not only northerners and europeans who are suseptible to the heat.
